Dear Colleagues!

 

The Organizing Committee announces the International Scientific Conference on the Development of Education in Eurasia taking place on April 4 and 5, 2019 at the Institute of Education Management of the Russian Academy of Education in Moscow, Russia. Scientific and pedagogical workers of the higher school, doctoral and graduate students are invited to participate in the conference.

The scientific conference is a platform for discussing current trends in the development of education in the countries of Eurasia. In particular, the conference will address issues related to the assessment of the quality of general education, including law enforcement and regulation of  educational authorities’ activities in the field of assessing the quality of general education. The conference participants will also present their research on the state of regional education systems and experience in building regional systems for assessing the quality of general education using the example of a number of constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The goal is to identify features and problems in the regulation of the activities conducted by education authorities in the field of assessing the quality of general education.

As a result of the research conducted on the monitoring of public inquiries (citizens' appeals), the main issues in the general education system that require management decisions at various levels have been identified and structured. The conference will consider recommendations for the development of mechanisms and tools for making management decisions in terms of improving the general education system in the Russian Federation at the federal and regional levels. It is also supposed to consider the potential of diagnostic tools in the system of general education, to conduct a typology of public inquiries, and to analyze inquiries established through citizens' appeals.

The conference also will held a discussion on the formation of recommendations developed on the basis of public discussion. In particular, participants will focus on the following topics: monitoring the quality and safety of products; implementation of regional and municipal programs to improve the organization of food in general education institutions; training, retraining, and advanced training of personnel in the field of catering in general education institutions; activities at internship sites, resource and other methodological and consulting centers to improve the organization of nutrition in educational institutions.

The conference participants will consider the problems of locating educational infrastructure facilities and the mechanisms for providing educational services in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, including priority areas and territories of advanced development, taking into account the need to ensure the state guarantees of access to education in the implementation of territorial planning (including taking into account the characteristics associated with indigenous peoples of the North, Siberia, and the Far East, nomadic peoples, etc.).

The conference will also address the design and implementation of the professional standards of school leadership in Russian and international practice. The conference participants will focus on the requirements for educational organizations and the professional qualities of their leadership that have changed in the Russian Federation and abroad. In addition, the concept of selection, recruitment and support models for managers in career phases, types of basic education, strategies for managing the professional development of the school leader will be analyzed.

The issues of integration of educational practices in Russia, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, school development, national standards for the quality of education, international recognition of qualifications and the dissemination of best practices for improving the quality of education are also priorities of the conference. Using the example of empirical studies on the relationship between cross-border higher education and quality assurance, the whole complexity of the regionalization of higher education in the countries of Southeast Asia (Indonesia, India, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Vietnam ) will be analyzed. This comparative analysis will enable us to understand the roles, functions and influence of higher education internationalization and regionalization.

Conference Proceedings & Requirements

1. Requirements for publication in the conference proceedings

Proceedings will be published as a results of the conference. Indexing: Web of Science (CPCI), ProQuest, etc. Manuscripts of scholarly articles must be in strict accordance with the requirements (download).

The Organizing Committee accepts those articles for publication that correspond to the conference profile and reflect  results of an independent research (theoretical and experimental). Already published papers or those being sent for publication in another journal/conference proceedings are not accepted.

Each scholarly article should also clearly indicate the problem and purpose of the research, demonstrate research relevance, indicate how well a topic under consideration is researched, as well as have a clearly defined methodology and well discussed results.

Research problems discussed in the papers should be of interest to researchers and specialists, especially in terms of the current development of education in Russia and the CIS countries. Each paper should also consider various scientific aspects of the problem being solved and have a strong scientific novelty.

In addition, papers should have a strict structure: (1) introduction, (2) literature review, (3) materials and methods (research design), (4) results, (5) discussion, and (6) conslusion.

Review papers are accepted only at the special invitation of the Organizing Committee and the Chief Editor.

A paper template can be downloaded here. Papers must be written in excellent academic English. All papers will be rigorously edited.

 

2. Peer review

All papers submitted will be rigorously peer reviewed (using double-blind peer review). Manuscripts written in weak English   are rejected immediately. All manuscripts accepted for publication are also subject to mandatory editing by the experts in the field of education.
